We're Not Your Typical Architecture Studio

Started in a cramped Toronto loft back in 2011, we've grown into something we're genuinely proud of. Our team doesn't just design buildings - we create spaces that actually work for the people using them, while keeping Mother Earth in mind.

How We Got Here

Back in 2011, three of us were sitting around complaining about how most commercial buildings looked like giant concrete boxes with zero personality. So we decided to do something about it. Started small with a couple renovations, then landed our first commercial project in 2013 - a boutique office space in King West that's still one of our favorites.

Our Studio

Our Philosophy (Without the Fancy Talk)

We believe great architecture shouldn't cost the planet. Every project starts with listening - actually listening - to what our clients need, not just pushing our aesthetic on them. Then we figure out how to make it sustainable without breaking the budget. Sometimes that means green roofs, sometimes it's smart material choices, and yeah, sometimes we tell clients their initial idea won't work and here's why.

The Journey So Far

Key moments that shaped who we are

2011

Founded in Toronto

Three architects with way too much coffee and big dreams started this thing in a 600 sq ft loft. Had one desk and took turns using it.

2013

First Major Commercial Project

Landed the King West office building - 15,000 sq ft of creative space. Spent six months perfecting every detail. Still visit it sometimes just to see how it's holding up.

2016

Sustainability Focus Shift

Got certified in LEED and green building practices. Realized we couldn't keep designing without thinking about environmental impact. Changed everything about how we work.

2019

Expanded Urban Planning Division

Brought on urban planners and started tackling bigger picture stuff - not just individual buildings but how they fit into neighborhoods and communities.

2021

Award Recognition

Won Ontario Architecture Excellence Award for our waterfront mixed-use development. That one validated years of pushing for sustainable urban design.

2023

New Bay Street Studio

Moved into our custom-designed office space. Finally got to practice what we preach - LEED Platinum certified with solar panels and rainwater harvesting. No more fighting over the one desk.

What Drives Us

Honestly? We get excited about solving problems. Every site has constraints - budget, zoning, environmental concerns, client needs that seem contradictory. That's where we thrive. We're not interested in cookie-cutter solutions or following trends just because everyone else is doing it.

Our team comes from different backgrounds - some classically trained, others self-taught, a few who switched careers mid-life. That mix of perspectives means we challenge each other constantly, which keeps the work fresh and the designs honest.
